ReplyDeleteThe part in the hockey fight about 1:25 into the movie (when the camera zooms out for the first time) was great. I loved how there were three different fights going on all over the ice. The kick in the chest in the baseball fight was good, too. I like how he had no idea who to fight once he got to the pitcher's mound.

I'm gonna have to second Ben. As awesome as hockey and baseball and mascot fights are, the Zidane headbutt was out of control. It just made you go "WHAT DID I JUST SEE??!?!"

ReplyDeletei believe the proper terminology for the baseball players kick into the catcher's chest would be a "burning foot sidekick". thats at least what its called in the art of Jeet Kune Do. thats by far my favorite clip!
ReplyDeleteWe americans love our fighting... especially hockey fights... if a fight doesn't break out, we root for it until it does. If a fight never happens in the game, we leave the game somewhat upset.

Ha I love Hockey Fights. I remember my first Blackhawks game was preseason against St. Louis. Hawks won 9-4 and there were four players ejected for fighting. It was everything you could ask for in a hockey game.
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that there are some sports where fighting is against the rules but tolerated to some extent for its entertainment value and others that consist solely of fighting, such as boxing. Do we just like watching people beat the crap out of each other so much that it's in a sport's interest to have some fighting going on regardless of the game's actual rules?
ReplyDeleteno matter what sporting event whether it be baseball, soccer, hockey or football, the crowds come running for a good fight.
